Sometimes you have to wonder if there are too many eBook stores going around the Internet? Next up we have word that Borders has launched its own Kobo-powered eBook store. In terms of selection, this bookstore should be pretty much the same as the existing Kobobooks site, though Borders might see fit to throw in some special pricing and promotions to make the deal sweeter. It’s also worth noting that Borders will be launching its own versions of the Kobo eBook app, which will be available for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. With Amazon and Barnes & Noble having a healthy lead in the eBook market, Borders is currently targeting 17 percent market share, and let’s see if it’s eBook store is the way to achieve that.
