UK retailer The Carphone Warehouse recently came up with a deal to deliver a a budget netbook from Hannspree. Somehow, this doesn’t sound quite right since the name Hannspree is often associated with more expensive items even though they’re pretty basic, but perhaps the Hannspree SN10 might change your outlook. Retailing for £229, the Hannspree SN10 will be available in a choice of either black or red colors, running on pretty standard netbook specifications such as an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, a 10.1? display, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM (2GB would have been a nice touch), a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity and an integrated memory card reader. Battery life is rated at around 6 hours, which ain’t too shabby, but netbooks these days tend to offer at least 8 hours of juice.
