While many HTC Aria owners out there were probably overjoyed when it was discovered that the updated HTC sync utility that was posted on the company’s website allowed them to install non-Android Market applications (side-loading) on the device. Unfortunately, it seems that the joy will be short lived, as HTC has removed the utility from its website, though if you managed to download and install it beforehand, it should still work. Seems like AT&T still wants to maintain a tight control over the installation of apps on its Aria and other Android-powered devices, which is slightly disappointing, to be honest.
