Hulu Plus On The PS3 Has Less Content Than The Web Version

Many folks who recently managed to access the Hulu Plus preview might have noticed that they haven’t been able to get access to the entire video catalog, as it turns out they’re only getting a subset of all the videos available on the website. This might be a little disappointing for PS3 users as they currently need to have paid for the PlayStation Plus subscription service in order to access Hulu Plus. Turns out that this limitation is due to Hulu’s licensing for TV shows and episodes, as the licensing for free episodes doesn’t seem to apply to the $10 monthly subscription, which prevents Hulu from offering its full catalog on its dedicated apps. Hulu still hasn’t said whether it’ll be providing the complete Hulu library via Hulu plus, but hopefully it’s on the way.
