LG DP1W Portable Theater Wi-Fi System Visits The FCC

A rather interesting device from LG has paid a visit to the FCC, and is touted as a “portable theater Wi-Fi” system, dubbed the DP1W. Details weren’t mentioned, but it could be designed to stream music and videos from a computer to your home stereo or TV, and could be only be available in Europe at this point. The DP1W sports two USB ports, an Ethernet port, composite and HDMI output, Wi-Fi b/g/n, support for DLNA, YouTube, AccuWeather, and Picasa apps. A release date or pricing wasn’t mentioned, but considering that it has visited the FCC, there’s hope that it’ll be hitting the US sometime soon.
