While we had previously caught a little glimpse of the Windows Phone 7 (WP7) partners, it has been confirmed that Asus, Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung will be the first few to launch WP7 smartphones. While details of these phones weren’t mentioned by Greg Sullivan, senior product manager, he did mention the LG Pacific, which is a previously unannounced device. Details of this device are still unknown, but it might be a related device to the LG Panther. Aside from that, Sullivan also stressed that Microsoft and its partners wouldn’t insist on country exclusives, as they want the devices to reach as many users as possible.
