Microsoft has released a new promotional video that shows some of the new features in Office for Mac 2011. The video shows off a new template gallery that allows users to choose from various designs or additional content from the Internet. Outlook integration has been improved with conversation view, not to mention a new database that supports Spotlight searches. Email is now also compatible with Time Machine backup and recovery. A noticeable change will also include the Office for Mac ribbon, which can be minimized in order to free up some additional screen real estate. While an official launch date hasn’t been announced just yet, the software is expected to ship sometime before the end of the year.
