The Motorola Charm is now officially announced from T-Mobile, where this touchscreen handset offers a social networking focus coupled with Motorola’s very own Android skin known as MotoBLUR. You won’t find FroYo running on the Charm though, since it will ship with Android 2.1 instead, but we do hope that T-Mobile will roll out a FroYo update in due time. Expect the Charm to hit Stateside sometime this summer, where it is a T-Mobile exclusive. Features include a 2.8″ touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a Backtrack navigation pad. This will incidentally be the first device in the US that will feature an enhanced version of Motoblur built on the Android 2.1 platform. A 3-megapixel camera is thrown into the mix as well for crystal clear images wherever, whenever you are, but don’t expect it to be a substitute for your dedicated digital camera. [Press Release]
