Motorola still hasn’t officially confirmed if it will be offering the Android 2.2 FroYo update for the aging Motorola Milestone, but just because there isn’t any official means to do it just yet, doesn’t mean that you’ll have to pass on FroYo. The folks over in the hacking community have decided to take things into their own hands, and have created a custom image for the Milestone that can run Android 2.2 FroYo perfectly, aside from issues with the camera (which might be a deal breaker to many). You’re free to give this a go, but the usual precautions should be taken, and you shouldn’t give it a try if you aren’t sure what you’re doing. In the meantime, you can check out a video detailing this after the jump.
