Panasonic Digital Phone/Fax Combo does paperless fax

Panasonic’s Digital Phone/Fax Combo has a heart for the environment, since it is capable of paperless fax. With its 4.9″ touchscreen display, you are able to write or draw any message onto it directly, letting you send by fax without the need for paper later on. Not only that, the same screen can also be used to pen down notes or memos, while it also serves the purpose of operating the phone functions and navigate through menus without any physical buttons. Known as the KX-PW821 Series, this combo device also sports a SD/SDHC memory card slot that allows you to save incoming and outgoing faxes as well as phone conversation recordings thanks to a dedicated recording function. This looks set to be a Japan-only device at the moment, and we’re wondering what happens when you have a really long document to fax – will you still write it using your hand? This would be more suitable in countries where the language relies on ideograms more than romanized letters.
