Picasa Web Albums Gets Picnik Editing Features

You might remember that Google snapped up Picnik, the online photo editor, a little while back and now the company is planning to show the results of the acquisition, via Picasa Web Albums. Users will now be able to use Picnik’s editing tools directly in Picasa Web Albums without having to leave their accounts. Editing tools include the ability to crop, resize, adjust the brightness, saturation and other attributes of the photos. Edited photos will be able to besaved as new images, or replace the originals if the users sowishes. Flickr users have been able to use Picnik to edit photos for some time now, though some folks do wonder if they will be able to continue to do so, as the Picnik is now owned by Google.
