Word is going around that Redbox is currently exploring the possibility of expanding its movie renal service beyond kiosks and onto the Internet. According to Redbox President Mitch Lowe, the company has considered a web service in order to expand the availability of its 100,000 strong movie catalog, making it easier for its customers to access its service. Details are still sketchy, but it’s not expected to be unveiled until October. With most companies trying their best to get their business on the Internet, it shouldn’t be too surprising to see that Redbox is considering such a move.
