Skype Announces SkypeKit To Allow Other Products To Plug Into Skype

Could we be using Skype from various other programs in the future? Considering that Skype has just announced SkypeKit, a collection of software and APIs that allows Internet-connected devices or applications to offer Skype voice and video calls, it looks like we’re heading in that direction. Skype terms SkypeKit as a “headless” version of Skype that is capable of running invisibly on devices such as PCs, TVs, notebooks and programs. It’s currently only available to developers via an invitation-only beta, but we’re looking forward to result the innovative programs that are churned out using SkypeKit.
