Sony BIOS update targets faulty VAIOs

Recent news of Sony’s recall of over half a million of their VAIO laptops have resulted in a new BIOS update being released, hoping to fix this issue in their VPCF11 and VPCCW2 series. Hopefully the BIOS update will fix the fault in the integrated temperature measurement system to prevent any overheating from happening (as well as any other potential fire hazards). You might want to contact your local Sony store if you happen to own a laptop from either VAIO series mentioned as burning your family jewels while working on a tight dateline isn’t the best way to end the week.
