Sony NEX-VG10 interchangeable lens HD camcorder is first in the industry

Here’s another world’s first – the Sony NEX-VG10 interchangeable lens HD camcorder which sports an extra-large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. This will allow the Sony Handycam line to achieve the next level of unprecedented artistic expression that wasn’t possible before via conventional consumer video cameras. If you’re familiar with Sony’s NEX-5 and NEX-3 digital cameras, then you will be familiar with the same Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor found in the NEX-VG10. Not only that, another added advantage is its compatibility with the entire range of “A-mount” interchangeable lenses used by Sony’s existing a DSLR camera lineup thanks to a mount adapter which is sold separately. The NEX-VG10 keeps up with the times, capturing full 1920×1080 high definition video at up to 24Mbps, making it perfect if you want to come up with your own Blu-ray discs for family and friends. The NEX-VG10 will handle both Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD memory card formats, where it will hit the market this September for around $2,000. Interested in a pre-sale booking? That will start from July 14th onwards.
