It seems that not a day passes that some robot appears to be learning new tasks that will make our lives easier, and we’re not complaining. Next up is a video of a robot (after the jump) that has been taught to flip a rather strange looking pancake (with vision tracking markers), by watching a human do the job. The robot eventually learns that flipping the pancake requires a stiffer arm, while catching it requires a more relaxed action. It’s pretty cool, and you can check out a video of it fiddling with the pancake after the jump. Next we have to teach it how to do our jobs.
