1000-Megawatt plant in California ushers in new solar era

The 1000-Megawatt plant located in California could very well be the largest solar power plant in the world, where it is capable of producing 1,000 megawatts of electricity when fully operational – that is the equivalent of powering around 800,000 homes. Of course, before this is made possible, the final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will need to be approved on a federal level before construction can commence. New jobs, a greener earth, a more sustainable living environment, what’s there not to like, eh? We do hope to see solar technology catch on when it comes to other countries, especially those that are lined along the equator which gets sunshine all year round.
