7-inch iPad rumor mill goes into overdrive

We know that there is a 7-inch iPad clone that is powered by the Android OS, not to mention rumors of a 7-inch iPad hitting the markets next year, but word from DigiTimes that an analyst of theirs have made the claim for the fabled 7-inch iPad to run off Apple’s Cortex A9 processor, carrying 512MB RAM similar to the iPhone 4 and a 1,024 x 768 pixel IPS panel. Word from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News also mentions that Chi Mei will accompany LG in supplying the new 7-inch IPS panels, while AUO will join Sintek to provide the digitizer. All are rumors until there is an official confirmation from any party, but in cases like these, you can always take out that tub of salt and wait patiently to see the rumor dispelled or become reality.
