Adobe AIR to hit Android smartphones this fall

Looking for some Adobe AIR on your Android-powered smartphone? You don’t have to wait too long any more, as it will be available on the Android Market this fall. Apart from that, there will also be a bunch of initial apps being made available simultaneously as part of the AIR 2.5 release. Developers will now gain the keys to play around with a handset’s camera, microphone, accelerometer and GPS sensor to their whims and fancy. Apart from that, AIR 2.5 will also be able to take advantage of hardware GPU acceleration (if present) as well as multi-touch input, but it will require at least an ARMv7 or faster processor, OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration and Android 2.2 before AIR 2.5 can run without any hiccups.
