Apple Files For A Telephonic MacBook Patent

One of the downsides of the current line of MacBooks from Apple is that they don’t have the ability to connect to LTE, 3G, or 4G networks without the use of a USB modem (or similar devices), but some recent patent filings from Apple show that the fruity company is working on some ideas, specifically a telephonic MacBook with a magnetically coupled antenna. The patent states that the wireless communication circuitry in the MacBook may be used to handle cellular telephone communications in one or more frequency bands and data communications in one or more communication bands. We’ll have to wait and see if Apple decides to use any of these fancy patent ideas in its future MacBooks, but we certainly won’t complain if they do.
