Apple Patents Exciter Technology For Easy Exchange Of Information

The folks over at Apple have been pretty busy with the patents recently, and next up the fruity company has filed a patent for a technology dubbed the Exciter. This technology serves to facilitate communication between two devices, and it’s not limited to iPhones, and can be used with any combination of devices that include an iPod, BlackBerry, MacBook/notebook, camera, or even medical equipment. A new device dubbed the cyclocomputer was also mentioned in the patent, which might give further insight of the Smart Bike patent that Apple was previously working on, as this technology would allow two bikers to easily swap information with each other. Of course, this is just a patent filing at the moment, and doesn’t mean that we’ll be seeing it applied in Apple devices anytime soon, but it’s always interesting to see what the folks over at Apple are thinking, and let’s see if this technology might compete with Bluetooth.
