Forget about the $15k Porta Potty we covered a few days ago – this time round, we’re looking at something for the individual and not for public use. The Aqualet toilet by New Linea Italia is perfectly positioned for the rich, since it offers a new level of luxury and hygiene. While the bidet comes with a side control which is found on many a Japanese toilet, it will also boast a heated seat with variable temperature setting (perfect for different bums around the house), an energy saving function (great for cutting down bills, especially during the cold winter months), a gently closing seat and lid (all the females need not nag you any more for leaving the toilet seat up when you’re done), a touch activated on/off sensor to prevent over spray and the automatic cleaning of the wands before and after each use for the next level of hygiene whenever you lay a log. We have one gripe though – being a wall-mounted design, it is rather small in size, but has the advantage of fitting easily inside the smallest of the bathrooms. What’s next for the porcelain throne in terms of technology, a built-in motorized LCD display and Blu-ray drive?
