Thanks to deal between Microsoft and Verizon Wireless, Bing may be powering your Droid‘s search result on Google’s mobile Android OS. The Bing search app will come pre-bundled with new Android devices shipping from Verizon Wireless, and will also be a free downloadable app in App Market for users to install.
Also part of the Bing deal would be Bing Maps and Bing voice search. Bing Maps will give driving directions and also retrieve locally relevant search results and Bing voice search, as its name implies, will give users the option to search with their voice.
It’s unclear at this time when the Bing search app will be available for handsets not on Verizon’s network.
