BioLock Android app hopes to make your Android device more secure

Update: It seems that the BioLock app is fake, and it was never released to the masses. Sorry about it, guys!

Sliding to unlock on your Android smartphone will soon be passe, thanks to Blue Planet Apps offering a newer dimension. We’re talking about biometric security, where it will include facial recognition and iris scanning before the smartphone can be used, making it the ideal solution for those who tend to hold sensitive information on their handset. While it will use the phone’s camera, don’t you think it is rather strange unless the handset comes with a front-facing camera similar to the HTC EVO 4G? Most of the older Android devices do not have a front-facing camera, so perhaps this will be more popular among the newer phones only. Interestingly enough, it should be smart enough to take into account hair growth such as beards and mustaches, enabling you to use your phone even without shaving. Sounds fun, but it would probably end up being more inconvenient in the long run if you tend to use your phone a whole lot throughout the day.
