BlackBerry Torch goes official, arrives via AT&T this August for $199.99

Research in Motion’s latest smartphone, the slider BlackBerry Torch (also known as the BlackBerry 9800), will be arriving on AT&T and hitting the market this August 12th for $199.99 a pop if you decide to agree to a 2-year contract, of course. Needless to say, it will run on the new BlackBerry OS 6 while featuring specifications which will surely make it the most advanced BlackBerry to date. It will share the same resolution as its predecessor though for its 3.2″ display – we’re talking about 480 x 360 pixels. For the rest of the nitty gritty, head on to the extended post and enjoy the photo gallery. Of course, you can also check out our BlackBerry Torch hands-on to get a better idea on what the phone is like.
