Demo group Haujobb has posted a video that reportedly shows a hack to play a “demo” (a small graphics/sound program) on a cash-machine/ATM. It’s unclear if the app was a 4KB (or less) data package uploaded via the smartchip on the ATM card, but if it is really an ATM hack, that would be extremely cool. The demo runs graphics and shows that such apps can run on an ATM machine (most are Windows-based anyway). If you’re not familiar with the underground demoscene, check this page. The app was presented during Evoke 2010 a demoscene demo competition in Germany. Again, I’m not how sure how true this actually is, but this is fun to watch.
