Folks who are looking out for a new compact camera might want to take note that Casio has just introduced two new compact cameras, the EX-S200, and the EX-Z800. Both are 14.1-megapixel cameras that support 720p video recording and 4x optical zoom. If you’re worried about physical dimensions, the S200 might be up your street, as it’s slightly thinner, has an autofocus assist lamp, and an instant-on Quick Mode. The “super resolution zoom” that Casio is promoting is a fancy way of saying that the cameras sport 6x digital zoom along with algorithms that will help maintain the image quality of the picture. Pricing and release information weren’t mentioned just yet.
