Well, the CineXPlayer goes against the grain as it enables AVI and XVID movie playback on the iPad for free – yes, you heard us right, there is no need to fork out a single cent for the app in contrast to other options in the App Store. The iPad Video app will be able to handle just one movie format at the moment, which would be H.264-encoded videos in an MP4-wrapper. If you want to play anything else, it will have to go through a relatively lengthy conversion process. CineXPlayer does away with that, since all you need to do is drag any AVI files you have into the app’s file-sharing section in iTunes and watch it go.
