DraganFlyer X8 Impressive UAV

If you’re rich and want to use your fabulous wealth to spy on your neighbors, you’ll be overjoyed to hear that DraganFly Innovations Inc. has announced the DraganFlyer X8, which is probably one of the coolest UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) out there. This impressive UAV can carry a payload of a kilo, sports a microSD blackbox data recorder, three gyros, accelerometers, and magnetometers on-board. It’s able to carry a select variety of DSLR cameras and various 1080p video cameras. The X8 is also the company’s first UAV helicopter to offer the new handheld Ground Control Station (GCS) as an option. While the GCS is currently still in development, when it’s complete, it’ll contain all the features of the handheld controller and the video base station in one package, running a Linux operating system on an Intel Atom processor, allowing the user to run the DraganView software and also control the helicopter at the same time. Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but it’ll probably cost you a pretty penny since you have to request a price quote in order to find out.
