Foursquare And Gogo Offer A Mile High Badge For Its Gogo Inflight Internet Users

Foursquare users who are frequent flyers should take note that airplane passengers who check into Foursquare via Gogo’s Inflight Internet service will be greeted with the “Mile High Badge“. The badge itself doesn’t do anything, but it does help you celebrate your location-based conquest, and seems like a clever promotional vehicle for Gogo to promote its Inflight Internet Service via social networking. The service itself costs around $10 per flight, and is available in the United States on Air Canada, AirTran, Alaska, American, Delta, United, US Airways and Virgin America.
