Gorilla Glass goes stab proof, heading to TVs next year

Gorilla Glass is slowly but surely making its way into mainstream gadget consciousness, and is said to feature in new touchscreen tablet devices as well as high end TVs down the road. According to Corning’s website, it seems as though they have already started to advertise its nigh indestructible Gorilla Glass as being part of LCD TV sets, but currently no major TV manufacturer have touted this feature just yet. With production capacity expected to expand, expect to see announcements of new Gorilla Glass-enabled TVs come your way in due time – perhaps we might even see new models equipped as such when CES 2011 rolls around? We wonder whether the Gorilla Glass TV will be able to stand up to wayward Wiimotes.
