Hint That Verizon Is Getting Chrome OS Devices?

We’re still patiently waiting for manufacturers to officially release Google Chrome OS devices, which should be available sometime in the near future, but folks have discovered some interesting developments on the Google Code pages, which make little references here and there to Verizon Wireless. Granted, it could be a placeholder and dummy for testing purposes, but we already know that Google and Verizon are working together to come up with some tablet devices, and they also have similar views on net neutrality. With that in mind, perhaps we’ll be seeing Verizon-subsidized Chrome OS notebooks sometime soon, probably with wireless connectivity built right into said devices. Either way, we’re looking forward to getting our hands on some Chrome OS devices soon, and see how they will affect the marketplace.
