If you want to know the quality of the air that you’re breathing in, you could make your own air quality sensors that would double as cool night lanterns. Parts required include balloons, LED lights, and air sensors. The air sensors detect how clean the air is and the LED lights inside the balloon glow red, yellow, or hopefully green for the cleanest air. Best part is that you’ll have some cool backyard lights for the night-time outdoor dinners, though if you live in Los Angeles, you’ll probably just end up with red lights.
