This mysterious device was called HTC 99HLZ001-00 ACE/Desire HD and is listed as out of stock, with a price tag of £415. Apart from the HTC Desire HD, it is also known as the much shorter HTC Ace, so you can be sure that “ace up HTC’s sleeves” phrases are going to be bandied about in due time. Basically, the HTC Desire HD could very well be an Android 2.2 smartphone that is headed for Europe, carrying a 4.3-inch display in the process for those who don’t mind a larger than normal handset.
