Iran introduces first unmanned bomber

Iran has made it known over the weekend that they have successfully developed an unmanned bomber, and according to Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the drone could serve as a “messenger of death”, although its key message was one of friendship. Talk about irony in a single sentence! An Iranian state TV did show the “Karrar” aircraft (as the drone is called) in flight, featuring a range of 1,000km (620 miles) and the ability to carry two 250-pound (115kg) bombs, or a precision bomb of 500 pounds. Good luck to Iran attempting to “render all the enemy’s weapons useless with our defence potential.” While it might not be a threat to folks living Stateside, it might still do a number on other poorly equipped (defense-wise) countries within range.
