LaCie has just announced its latest Rikki Go external drives, and for those who are not in the know, a Rikiki is actually a small monkey with a mohawk as depicted in the product documentation which was spotted on the LaCie website. Seems more like the offshoot of a renegade Gremlin to us. Still, this rather unorthodox marketing tactic will see the drive come in a brushed aluminium enclosure complete with an integrated USB cable while featuring automated backup software that is included with the drive for added convenience to get you started right out of the box. The Rikiki will be available in 500GB and 1TB capacities, retailing for $89.99 and $149, respectively. Time to get that lack of storage space monkey off your back, eh?
