Stereoscopic 3D movies followed by games is the logical evolutionary step, and the Metal Gear Arcade 3D arcade shooter which was first announced last summer, has started to appear in various arcades throughout Japan, albeit as part of a limited-run public test. Spotted in arcades in Yokohama and Tokyo, this game will require you to wear 3D glasses, while holding life-sized plastic guns with the ability to hook up to a quartet of cabinets for some multiplayer gaming goodness. Not only that, it seems as though the game has two styles of control, one which has the game tracking the movements of your gun while the other will track the movements of your head with the help of those glasses. Either way, you will play as though you were in a first-person shooter. Hopefully it will hit the US sooner rather than later.
