NEC has a heart for the environment with their new E231W 23″ LCD monitor, where this model will sport a DisplayPort alongside a full 1080p resolution and ambient light sensor. Heck, it even sips less juice than its predecessor at just 28W, and will also be cheaper as well to bring home at $299 a pop. Right, you’re more interested in the hardware specifications so without much further ado, here they are – we’re talking about 250 nits of brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 4-way adjustability (height, tilt, swivel, and pivot) and a 3-year warranty, now how about that? How many monitors these days come with such a lengthy warranty program? Most of them max out at one year, making this a pretty tempting deal considering the price point.
