Rumors – the blogosphere has certainly had its fair share of them, and the latest two rumors would be the Coolpix P7000 and the D7000 DSLR which are tipped to arrive on the 8th and 15th of next month, respectively. While the former is your regular point-and-shoot, the D90′s supposed successor, the D7000, looks set to be an above average DSLR. Word has it that the two announcements are meant to split up, where the P7000 will be announced along with some other Coolpix models. As for the D7000, it will be introduced with at least a couple of other lenses and a new Speedlight. The P7000 will not participate in the megapixel race though, dropping to just 10-megapixels although it will feature RAW shooting capability, 720p video recording, a 28-200mm equivalent zoom lens, and a 3-inch LCD display. No additional details on the D7000 are furnished, but it does seem as though it will come with 100% viewfinder coverage and dual memory card slots. Only time will tell whether these rumors are unfounded (or not).
