The folks over at Nintendo should be pretty happy to hear that the Wii video game system has now sold 30 million units in the US alone, and this figure was achieved in just 45 months, making it the fastest-selling console in the history of the industry, hitting the milestone a whole 15 months faster than the next best-selling console. No doubt this is due to the Wii’s innovative gaming experience which offers users the motion-sensing Wiimote controller, which drew millions of new players into the world of video games, regardless of age. The console is currently available in either black or white with a suggested retail price of $199.99. With such impressive stats, we’re looking forward to the next-generation Wii from Nintendo, perhaps one with a Blu-ray drive?
