Most portable speakers these days are small in size, but one thing they have in common – the majority lack tubthumping power. NXT aims to change that with the DyadUSB stereo amplifier module that is touted to boost audio output to 15W per channel, where it will be powered via a single standard USB port. This is a quantum leap in performance, considering that traditional bus-powered USB speakers tend to deliver only up to 2W or sometimes 3W of power. A five fold increase is definitely worth writing home about, and we hope to see new portable speakers sport such capability within in the near future.
