The Philips GoGear Connect portable media player is yet another Android-powered device that follows in the footsteps of the Samsung Yepp-YP-MB2, where it will run on the Android 2.1 operating system (with no word on whether Android 2.2 FroYo will be introduced in due time or not), sporting 16GB of internal memory, a 3.2″ touchscreen display, an integrated FM radio tuner, a microSD memory card slot, GPS navigation capability and a battery life of up to 5 and 25 hours for video and audio playback, respectively. It has been listed at €264.99 (around $340 after conversion), with no word on whether an international release is on the way or not. Philips has skipped North America in the past, so having us miss out on the GoGear Connect shouldn’t come as a surprise any more should that scenario happen.
