Philips TVs To Get Built in Internet Access In September

Philips has announced that it will be bringing wireless Internet connections to some of its upcoming HDTVs and also existing ones via its Wireless Media Connect technology. With everything set up, Philips promises that users will be able to access services such as Skype, email, instant messaging, and also online videos. This feature will be available on the upcoming 7700 and 5700 series EcoTV line, along with the BDP7520 Blu-ray player, while the currently available 5705 and 7705 series HDTVs will be backwards compatible with Wireless Media Connect via a software upgrade.
