Plastic Logic to release second-generation ProReader instead

The Plastic Logic QUE product has yet to hit the market after so many delays and hiccups, and decided to do the next best thing. Instead of pursuing it indefinitely to turn it into the hardware version of Duke Nukem Forever, Plastic Logic decided to cancel its QUE device by working on a next generation ProReader instead. With this announcement, we can only wish them the best and hope that the upcoming ProReader will be able to live up to expectations. Frankly, after the entire QUE product delay, we do hope that the new ProReader will be able to get out of the factory doors first. Let us also keep our fingers crossed that the new ProReader will be well supported with a decent content delivery model in order to keep up with the rest of the competition. Having good hardware alone these days isn’t going to cut the mustard as value is in the software. [Press Release]
