With Apple’s Sept 1st event just around the corner, a last minute rumor has just come in, hinting that the press event will include a revamped Apple TV (iTV) that will offer streaming content from Netflix. The rumor states that three people with knowledge of the plans claim that Netflix subscribers would be able to access the company’s “Watch Instantly” catalogue using iTV, similar to how they do so on gaming consoles and Apple’s iOS devices. It’s also rumored that Apple will be announcing a $99 version of iTV, an update to its iPod lineup, and also 99-cent TV show rentals via iTunes.
