When Apple purchased Lala.com a while back, folks were speculating that Apple would be preparing to offer streaming music and movies via an iTunes cloud-based service. There hasn’t been any official confirmation of such a service just yet, but word is going around that even if the service does launch within the coming months, it’ll only be a soft launch, and lack the really cool features, such as video. The reason behind this is apparently due to an undisclosed video feature, which is the focus of the Lala team. Details are still scarce at the moment, but that’s no surprise as Apple has always been rather secretive about what it’s going to release.
