Samsung is promising a fix to its Blu-ray players in an issue that we had reported on earlier, where titles from Universal and Warner Bros. refuse to play. The company apologizes to users and is promising a fix in September.
The problem occurred as a result of the 2.09 update, though some are blaming DRM as an issue. Blu-ray requires frequent updates to ensure that the latest copy protection keys are in play, which may be the culprit to why some discs have refused to play. A downloadable upgrade from Samsung in September should clear up that problem.
