Samsung S2 Portable Hard Drive Now Equipped With USB 3.0 And 7200RPM Hard Drive

If you’ve been shopping around for a new portable hard drive, Samsung has just announced an updated version of its S2 portable hard drive, one that now sports a speedy USB 3.0 interface and a 7,200RPM hard drive inside, setting it up for speedy transfers that may not be easy for competitors to match. Aside from hardware specifications, the drive also bundles the SecretZone, SafetyKey, and Auto Backup software, offering encryption, password protection and data backup capabilities for the drive. The drive will be available in capacities of 320GB and 640GB, and will be available in Europe in various colors by the end of the month. Pricing hasn’t been mentioned just yet.
