

Sanyo has introduced this pocket camcorder that has the size of a thick cellphone. It is incredibly light (3.7oz) and can shoot clean 1080p/30fps movies. Although the quality was impressive for a product in this category (basically a Flip competitor), this won’t challenge large camcorder due to the sheer size of the optics, however, you would be hard-pressed to put a handheld camcorder in your pocket.
At $170, this is an interesting alternative to other players who might not be able to achieve the same level of quality, or don’t have dual microphones for example. The camera can record movies on the internal memory, or on an SD card. The build quality feels a little cheap/plastic, but in that space, you won’t find any aluminum designs…
