Verizon Dismisses Droid Incredible August 18th Firmware Update Reports

While it was previously rumored that the HTC Droid Incredible would be getting an Android 2.2 update on August 18th, a Verizon spokesperson has tweeted that while the update was on its way, it will not be released on the 18th. There was no mention of when the update will be coming, so it looks like the folks over at Verizon plan to keep us waiting for a little while more. Hopefully the update will be arriving sooner rather than later.
